Don't Forget Your SSL Hours!

MCPS requires that all students complete a minimum of 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Below are a few ideas to help you earn your SSL hours:

- Sign up and volunteer for a PTSA-sponsored event

- Sign up with a non-profit

- Talk to your teacher and volunteer to help them

Students may begin earning SSL hours during the summer following the completion of 5th grade and continue through 12th grade. During middle school, students can also earn SSL hours in grade 6 science, grade 7 English, and grade 8 world studies.
